Our Story
This club encourages and promotes multicultural awareness. Several Asian countries belong to a single ethnic group.
Students from mono-ethnic countries such as Japan, Korea and Vietnam often face challenges to understand multiculturalism. Understanding different cultures is vital to create a harmonious community. What we learned from AP Human Geography is cultural diversity, respect, diffusion and integration. Creating an Asian Cultural Club can bring many benefits for IMG students and the school. By respecting cultural diversity and understanding ethnic conflicts, we can build a better community at school. We also believe that school should help international students understand and adapt to their new environment. Our club contributes to making an inclusive and respectful school environment.
Our goal is for IMG students to have learning opportunities about Asian cultures in their prospective area of interests. The long term goal is to fundraise for poverty stricken countries in Asia. ACC is open to everyone who loves Asian culture!
